Anti-aircraft missiles may have been smuggled out of Libya and the United States is attempting to account for thousands of Moammar Gadhafi’s stockpiled weapons, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers said Oct. 10, USA Today reported. Al Qaeda would like to posses these weapons, Rogers said. The U.S. administration was hesitant to send troops to track the missiles until recently because of their pledge not to deploy troops in Libya, he said, adding that the United States might be too late.
